Automated Essay Grading Software for Statistics (AEGSS):
A prototype.
The major objective in developing AEGSS is to enhance statistical
literacy and statistical thinking through making it possible for the
students to generate their own answers to open-ended questions rather
than choose answers to multiple-choice questions. The algorithms
involved in the development of "AEGSS” will be discussed and a
demonstration of the prototype will be made. The results and overall
accuracy that was obtained on a sample of essays will be discussed.
